Since this is a holiday weekend I thought I would post some cool games that maybe someone would be interested in playing and first we have a game for Linux (But also available for OSX and Windows) Heroes of Newerth Heroes of Newerth is an action RPG game, based on the popular Warcraft III mod map named Defence of the Ancients (dota). It may be the only choice for linux dota lovers, but thankfully it is the best we could have. This game offers the best “dota” experience, using beautiful graphics and optical effects, atmospheric sounds and music, stable multiplayer with a lot of choices for the player and above all it is free to play (you can buy some extras with real money). This game is evolving with constant update packs every week, and is now already very mature and linux-supportive. It will only get better through this year…must-play. Read all about it at the Web Site Here is a video so you can get an idea of the game play.

The next game is for ios and it is Solomon’s Keep By Raptisoft. Description: Near the town of Dead Hawg, past the Grimwood, at the very PEAK of Mount Awful, there stands a crumbling tower of mortar and stone. Deep within this foul edifice, the blackest necromancer of modern times, Solomon Dark, sits on his horrible throne. As a near graduate of the Wizarding College, your final exam is to storm Solomon’s Keep. Dispatch the dark wizard, loot his evil possessions, unbind his horrific minions, and prove to your teachers once and for all that you’re not as stupid as you look. In Solomon’s Keep, you move your wizard with one thumb, and fire magic spells with the other. As you destroy enemies, you earn experience points. Gain enough experience, and you’ll gain a level, and can select new skills to help you ascend the tower. Along the way you’ll find gold and magic items. Your helpful teachers are there to explain the ins and outs of wizarding, sell you a few useful items, and even give you a few tips to improve your skills. Along the way you’ll encounter Solomon’s skeletons, zombies, imps, and more. You might even encounter an undead king, and Solomon’s meticulously reconstructed maggot vomiting skeletal dragon. With random dungeons and monsters, Solomon’s Keep offers infinite replayability. It’s never the same game twice!
If you’re fond of action RPGs, Solomon’s Keep will satisfy your black heart. Note: This App may perform poorly at times on first generation machines, due to advanced rendering and special effects. And the last game is a Android game Goldminer v1.9 “Gold Miner” Classic Reproduction! The game requires your keen observation, flexible manipulation, endless intelligence, as well as exceptional endurance. You can mine endless treasures of gold in the crypt to be a new richer.

GoldMiner

All of the above games are free I hope that you enjoy them and I hope everyone has a very Happy Easter enjoy spending time with your families and friends and I wish for safe travels for everyone. :)

Seashore Simple Image Editor for Mac

Seashore Simple Image Editor for Mac

Seashore

Seashore is an open source image editor for Mac OS X’s Cocoa framework. It features gradients, textures and anti-aliasing for both text and brush strokes. It supports multiple layers and alpha channel editing. It is based around the GIMP’s technology and uses the same native file format. However, unlike the GIMP, Seashore aims to serve the basic image editing needs of most computer users, not to offer a replacement for professional image editing products. And the wonderful thing it is Free and you can download here here: seashore.sourceforge.net
What’s New Version 0.5.1:

  • Corrected an issue where color spaces were not always respected.
  • Fixed an issue where some plugins would crash or not respect alpha transparency.
  • Fixed a problem where certain files (such as PDF) could not be opened
  • Worked around a problem where certain color pickers would cause Seashore to crash at startup.

Requirements:
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later
Seashore has textures and anti-aliasing for both text and brush strokes. It also supports multiple layers, alpha channel editing and uses the same native file format as GIMP. And due to Cocoa, it sports a much slicker OS X friendly user interface that definitely looks better than GIMP.The beauty of SeaShore is that it’s a lot simpler than GIMP and feels a bit closer to Photoshop in the way the menus are laid out. Seashore replaces GIMP’s floating panels and nested dialogues with a friendlier single-window interface for each project. It’s 100 per cent Cocoa too, so is completely OS X native. A sidebar has layer and image data, while tools can be accessed from a menu bar at the top of the document. They’re the usual collection of image editing and selection tools familiar from other Photoshop clones.

Caffeine For Your Mac

Caffeine For Your Mac

Who doesn’t love caffeine, I am a huge Mountain Dew Fan everyone knows caffeine keeps you awake well what about your Mac does it need caffeine? This free app over at the Mac App Store prevents your Mac from automatically going to sleep, dimming the screen or starting screen savers. Click it again to go back Right-click (or ⌘-click) the icon to show the menu. Caffeine is a tiny program that puts an icon in the right side of your menu bar. You access preferences and set a duration for Caffeine to work its magic (if only that was available for Mountain Dew!) The simple preference window lets you add Caffeine to your login items, display the preferences on startup, and set a default duration. The duration setting is particularly appreciated, since you don’t want to drain your battery unnecessarily just because you forgot to disable Caffeine. The Caffeine app will be welcome for anyone watching Movies, Videos, Working on a project to where you need your screen not to go dim or your Mac to go to sleep.  The Requirements for Caffeine are: Mac OS X 10.6 or later, Ever had your Mac go off to Sleep just when you left the room and forgot to come back in time? Or frustrated when you are in the middle of a download and it got cut off because your mac went to sleep when left untouched if so then give your mac some Caffeine all you have to do is launch the tool and click on the menu bar icon (which is a cup) and it fills with coffee; then it basically doesn’t allow your Mac to Sleep. And you won’t have to worry about your downloads, live webcam or direct-connection transfers from cutting off.  When you’re done, just turn Caffeine off by clicking the coffee cup, it empties and everything will be back to the way it was. And if you only need to temporarily turn off the Sleep function for a certain amount of time, Caffeine can do that for you too.  All you need to do is set the time for Caffeine to be active for and enable it after that period of time is over, Caffeine will disable itself, then your Mac will Sleep after the allocated time in Energy Saver preferences has elapsed.  This feature is exceptionally useful when say, you need to download a file and the estimated download time is 1.5 hours; you set Caffeine to be active for only 2 hours and it will Sleep your Mac after that. Give your Mac a boost of Caffeine and keep it awake while you watch your Movie (Now where is that popcorn app).
